Membership and Officers

Ele's Place is a nonprofit, community-based organization whose mission is to create awareness of and support for grieving children and their families. Ele's Place provides a safe atmosphere in which healing can take place following the death of a family member or important friend.

By sharing their feelings and memories with others in peer support groups, children and their families learn to accept their loss and begin the healing process.

They also have a new program available, The TLC (Together Learning to Cope) program; designed to provide support to children living with the life threatening illness of a family member. Bi-weekly support groups are offered for children and their parents or guardians, and workshops are offered periodically for parents seeking information about helping their children understand and cope with the illness in the family.

Everyone was given a chart of the basic design and a list of colors and left to their own imagination to create.
